Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps on iOS in Romania, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the Romanian iOS market saw intriguing trends in the performance of the top cryptocurrency apps. Here's how these apps fared in terms of downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto experienced a notable fluctuation in downloads, peaking at around 6.9K in mid-April. Active users showed a gradual decline from approximately 59.7K at the start of the quarter to 43.8K by the end of June.

Crypto.com: Buy BTC, ETH & CRO saw a more stable trend in downloads, with numbers hovering between 600 and 1.2K weekly. Active users decreased from 26.6K to 18.3K by the end of the quarter.

Pi Network displayed a significant drop in downloads, starting at 2K and falling to 277 by the end of June. The app's active users also decreased from 183K to 113K over the quarter.

xPortal: BTC & Crypto Wallet showed a downward trend in downloads, starting at 764 and dropping to 176. Active users, however, saw a varied pattern, peaking at 18.5K in mid-May before declining to 11.9K by the end of the quarter.

Revolut X: Buy Bitcoin, Crypto maintained a relatively stable download rate, with numbers starting at 770 and ending at 163. Active users remained steady, with a slight increase from 1.5K to 1.8K in mid-June, ending the quarter with 1.5K.
